Data Citation Policy
This policy explains how publishers, researchers, agencies, and internal teams can cite ToolixLab AI tool datasets. The goal is to make data reuse clear while preserving attribution, source context, update dates, and links back to the original research asset.
How to cite ToolixLab data
Use: ToolixLab Research Team. "Dataset or page title." ToolixLab, dataset version, last updated date, page URL.
How to cite a specific row
Include the page title, dataset name, citation ID, dataset version, last checked date, source URL, and the ToolixLab page URL. Example: ToolixLab Research Team, AI Tool Trust Index, citation ID TLX-TRUST-CHATGPT-2026-07, dataset version 2026-07, last checked July 22, 2026.
Allowed use
You may quote, summarize, cite, and link to ToolixLab research pages with visible attribution and a link back to the source asset.
Embed attribution requirement
Embeds must preserve the text "Live data by ToolixLab" and link to the relevant research page.
CSV/data usage rules
CSV and JSON downloads are provided for research, editorial, and procurement use. Do not republish full datasets as a competing tracker without permission. Use the research data manifest to discover current public files.
Version and freshness context
Each row can include a dataset version, last checked date, source accessed date, verification method, evidence status, data quality, and confidence notes. If a record is marked pending or needs refresh, cite it as an early dataset record rather than a fully verified claim. Use the freshness queue to check current verification status.
Data corrections
Send data corrections to contact@toolixlab.com with the page URL, record name, source URL, and requested correction.
Recommended citation context
When citing a tracker, include the page title, the update date, and a short note about the relevant field, such as pricing, free-tier limits, commercial-use rights, lock-in risk, or billing friction.
